Campaign Story
My name is Jessica, and I’ve always dreamed of becoming a mother. This year, just before I turned 41, that dream felt closer than ever—I was pregnant for the first time. But in September, our joy turned to heartbreak when we had to say goodbye due to several genetic abnormalities the main diagnosis was triploidy syndrome. The loss was devastating.
Despite the pain, it gave me a powerful hope: I know I can get pregnant. My partner and I are deeply committed to growing our family, but we face a unique challenge. He lives all the way across Canada and I reside in Alberta, and with flights costing between $3,000 and $7,000 each time, seeing each other during my fertile window has become a huge financial barrier. As I’m navigating this journey largely on my own financially, the costs of travel—and eventually fertility treatments—feel overwhelming.
We’re asking for your support to help cover fertility expenses such as freezing his sperm and possibly going ahead with IUI or IVF. Every contribution brings us one step closer to trying again and holding our baby in our arms.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for considering being part of our story. With your help, we believe our family’s future can still be filled with love, hope, and the child we long for.
